I absolutely adore birds, and this shot has me from the start...I love how huge the sparrow is! Wonderfully centered and in focus, he is definitely the object of the photo, and draws our eye immediately. The title works very well- the sparrow indeed seems to be watching us with those black and beady little eyes, beak in the air, as if to show us his superiority...while at the same time, his fluffy feathers and rather tubby shape mar that image a little, and he just looks plain sweet.

In contrast, I really like the blurs of the background- patches of green and soft pink light which work really nicely, somehow, with the colours of the sparrow's plumage.

The only little thing which I don't like so much is that little twig sticking up to the left of the branch. In my opinion, it just seems a little out of place and keeps trying to draw my attention away from the bird...

All in all, though, a really lovely shot. And I agree, sparrows are so gorgeous and adorable, and you have shown that really well!
